1 Corinthians 15:54-57
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
reflecting on my life before today, the mindset of following Christ for real and not just being a church member and living my life as it is, I remember in 2007 when my young sister passed at 18 - her death was not expected, she was hospitalized before her 18th birthday and was diagnosed with Leukemia ,she passed to soon, a month later , I was planning in my head how I was going to care for her through this sickness , not expecting death to come upon her ,no one wants anyone to leave this earth - after that I remember still living my life a little numb still doing as I please and not having a devoted full life with Jesus - I knew that I wanted to study God's word more , I knew I needed to change my life and not waste my life , well I remember meeting some people near the end of 2008 who were always doing these in depth bibles studies - I was reading a book that I picked up from the store -I found that they taught the Truth - I just did not care for the rules of being clocked when you did not come to the meetings/fellowships or was late , or the mindset that all churches are of the world and will not make it to heaven unless the come to this organization- sounded familiar to my childhood -upbringing of church. I noticed that people who go to church and suffer through that church abuse -it makes it harder for true spiritual growth in Faith - The Word of God says Study to Show Self approve-my Faith keeps growing with the believers that I have met over the past five years and believers I knew since I was younger but most importantly when I spend my time with God alone in prayer and devotionals. I understand the meaning of being saved and living Holy better than someone telling me "this is what you going to do" nothing happens overnight-
I am unashamed firm believer of following the Word of God and know all of it is True. My Life before Christ - I believed that I would be ok having sex with just one person and not being married. I wanted marriage so bad when I began my relationship that I had thoughts of becoming unfaithful and did exactly that. Not knowing that I was unfaithful first to Christ from the very beginning of sleeping with the one person -regardless - many people have this mindset that fornication is for people who have multiple partners - no that is the wrong mindset because fornication is for anyone who is not married and who is unfaithful to God.Sin is sin and can be justified by people. It is easy for people to say " do not judge ,we all sin " I used to say it and believe it but the word of God says Romans 3:20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us- 1 John 1:8
